How do I schedule my cruise?

Purchase your tickets online or call (800) 638-9892. You can choose to print your ticket or pick it up at will call.

Do I have to buy tickets in advance?

No, you can either purchase tickets in advance or get your tickets in the ticketing booth right before the start of the dock. Please note, that cruises do sell out, so purchasing in advance is encouraged.

Does the boat go to Mackinac Island?

No, it doesn’t, but you can purchase tickets for a ferry that does go to Mackinac Island here.

How early should I arrive?

We suggest you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. That way, you have plenty of time for parking and ticket confirmation. (And to check out our Pirate Cove for refreshments and pirate garb.)

Are pets allowed?

We do not allow any pets on the ship, except for service animals.

Can I bring strollers on the ship?

Because we have limited room on the ship, we unfortunately cannot allow any strollers on the ship. Before you board you can leave your stroller at our merchandise tent near our dock and pick it up after your cruise.

What if I miss my cruise?

We do not offer refunds for customers that miss their scheduled cruise. View our Refund & Cancellation policies here.

How long is the cruise?

Each pirate cruise lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Can I charter the Good Fortune for a private cruise/event?

Yes, we offer private charters from Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island. Call our staff at (800) 638-9892 and we can answer any questions you may have.

What will we do during the cruise?

The Good Fortune is an exciting adventure the whole family will enjoy. Aimed towards entertaining (training) children through various pirate-themed activities. Kids will learn how to walk, talk, look, and act like a pirate. They will engage in sword (foam) fighting, swabbing the deck, treasure hunts, cannon fire and more. All the while, adults can enjoy a relaxing cruise aboard the Good Fortune: taking in the scenery, watching their children morph into pirates, and they can even join in on the pirate fun! Passengers will enjoy music, singing, jokes and activities along with a large selection of pirate booty (t-shirts, eye patches, swords and more) and a galley full of refreshments for purchase while onboard the great ship Good Fortune.

How should I dress to cruise?

Dress casually and appropriately for the weather conditions. We welcome passengers that have attire to match the adventure (but please no weapons). Also, please refrain from wearing any profane, indecent, suggestive or inflammatory articles of clothing as this is a family-oriented cruise.

Are there refreshments on board?

Items such as chips, candy, soft drinks, beer, wine and water will be available for purchase in the galley aboard the ship.

May I bring my own refreshments/cooler?

We ask that customers not bring food or drink aboard the ship. Plenty of reasonably priced snacks and drinks are available in the galley.

Is the vessel handicapped accessible or compliant?

The vessel is not ADA compliant as it falls under the USCG regulations for a small passenger vessel. However, we would be happy to discuss your specific needs that would allow you to have a comfortable experience during the cruise. Please call (800) 638-9892 for more information.

Do you have parking available?

Star Line Dock #1 parking booth has free and paid parking options available. We recommend you arrive 30 minutes early prior to cruise departure to allow for parking.
